Press Brake Forming

Precision sheet metal bending for brackets, enclosures, gussets, and chassis. Cut on our fiber laser, formed on a CNC press brake for consistent angles and radii.

Max Bend Length
~ 1200–2500 mm (model-dependent)
Tonnage
~ 40–100 t (model-dependent)
Materials
Mild steel, stainless, aluminum
Lead Time
As fast as 48 hr (rush)

Typical Work

  • U-channels, angles, Z-brackets
  • Hinged enclosures & chassis
  • Gussets and mounting tabs
  • Formed blanks for secondary CNC ops

Material & Thickness (guide)

  • Mild steel: 0.8–6 mm
  • Stainless: 0.8–4 mm
  • Aluminum: 0.8–6 mm

Exact ranges depend on final press brake tonnage and tooling—will update after purchase.

Tolerances & Quality

  • Angle tolerance: ±0.5–1.0° typical
  • Flange length tolerance: ±0.25–0.5 mm
  • Consistent inside radius per punch radius

Tooling & Radii

  • Air bending with V-dies and gooseneck punches
  • Inside radius ≈ punch tip radius (material-dependent)
  • Acute bends, hemming, and offsets with dedicated tooling

DFM Tips (Save Cost)

  • Use standard radii/V-die openings when possible.
  • Keep minimum flange length ≥ 3× material thickness (or ≥ V/2).
  • Avoid tight hole-to-bend distances; leave ≥ 2× material thickness.
  • Etch bend lines/text on laser blanks to speed setup.

Post-Processing

  • Deburr/edge break
  • Hardware insertion (PEM) on request
  • Powder coat, anodize, passivation, black oxide
